The investigation into the sabotage of the Nord Stream pipelines between Russia and Germany, which resulted in a gas leak in the Baltic last year, is ongoing, according to Sweden’s prosecution authority.
It remains unclear who was behind the incident, and prosecutor Mats Ljungqvist said that while they are working hard to confirm who committed the crime, it may be difficult given the circumstances.
He also stated that political speculation surrounding the incident has not affected the ongoing investigation, which is based on facts and information from analyses, crime scene investigations, and cooperation with authorities in Sweden and other countries.
